Globally, women face unique challenges in accessing education and employment opportunities. According to UNESCO women make up two-thirds of the world’s 773 million illiterate adults. In Australia, gender disparities persist, particularly in vocational training and leadership roles. Despite comprising nearly half of all Vocational Education and Training (VET) enrolments, women’s participation in fields such as engineering and related technologies remains low, with only 11% of enrolments in 2022.
Encouragingly, various initiatives have made strides in closing this gap. Programs offering scholarships, mentorship, and tailored skills training have led to increased female representation in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) fields and other traditionally male-dominated industries. Such efforts highlight the importance of targeted strategies in expanding women’s access to vocational training and career advancement.

Caroline Rose Charity is committed to supporting initiatives that enhance vocational training opportunities for women. By working alongside educational institutions, advocacy groups, and industry partners, Caroline Rose Charity aims to contribute to solutions that foster equitable access to career pathways and skill development.
